Critical Literacy Review

Hello guys, this is my last post for now. 

So, I have almost complete this semester and I’m proud of it. Actually, Critical Literacy is not hard as seniors said. It just gives you a lot of thinking about something. This subject helps me gaining new knowledge about analyzing articles, movies text and others. Now I realize that, every article or movie has their own message toward the audience. So after this I can simply understand an articles or movies much easier.

I just want to say that this subject is really cool and awesome. Not everyone will like this subject but once learning it, it shows the magical of knowledge. I want to comment that this subject wills more interesting with a new movie or new story that people know. Moreover, by giving student to choose anything that they want to analyze will make this subject more interesting.  My third comment is this subject need to be learned in enjoyable situation or else it will become sleepy boring subject. Having an interesting and sporting lecture also helps in making this subject more interesting.

Last but not least, Critical Literacy is a subject that changes people perspective on something. Learning this subject can actually open our mind to go beyond in thinking method. This subject also needs to be continued to be one of the subject in further semester. In all, everyone can learn this subject, once learned it, you will never regret for learning this subject. Online Tutor!

Hye guys, so this is my fourth post. It is about an article in NST.

After reading “Perak Starts Online tutorial For Students” article, I think that this is one of the good ways to improve students learning style. Online tutor helps student to improve their studies skill and provide video for subject.

Nowadays, learning through computer in not being used commonly. So, Perak government has done great job by helping students in their studies. This action will helps student more on hard subject like, Physics, Additional Mathematics, Chemistry and others. With online tutor it can attract student’s full attention on their studies and examination. Having this kind of learning style, it shows the improvement of study method.

There are also disadvantages for using online tutor. Poor student can only use online tutor in school because they don’t have internet connection at home while others student can use it at home freely. Moreover, using internet for study also can make them misuse. It is because, students nowadays are exposing to everything, they can use online tutor to surf another web. It is dangerous; students may surf porn sites without parental controls

.

In conclusion, I agree that Perak government has initiative to helps students in their studies by introducing online tutor for them. It gives a lot of benefit to student for their homework, assignment and many more. It also give more benefits to student who always internet connection. However, parent should control their children’s internet usage to avoid any problems. J

Flash Of Pride

Hye guys, my third post!

Flash of pride a word for justice. Actually, Flash of pride is the taken from NST dated August 26^th, 2013 by Sairien Nafis. There are story in every picture. The story of the picture is our country achieves a freedom. It is an honor to live in harmony country. I’m glad that Malaysia flag free on air. In the picture, we can see that the worker working hard to make the preparation for celebration Independence Day.

Malaysia gain its freedom on August 31, 1957 where the dates is so meaningful to people. I would like to say thank you very much to the heroes who work hard to make this country free from invasion. Without them, we are nothing. Always remember that never to forget the story about Malaysia Independence Day.

Now, Malaysia had it independence for 56^th years. It shows that Malaysia has achieved great achievement such as first national car; Proton was founded in 1983, PETRONAS twin tower KLCC was created in 1996. Malaysia also has great leader to lead a nation such as Tun Dr. Mahathir, Tunku Abdul Rahman and others.  So, Malaysia gaining a lot of achievement in developing country and will become a successful country.

In all, we should proud of Malaysia. We can see how the Independence of Malaysia may go a great success with the progress that has been achieved until this day. I just want to say that never forget about our beloved country and the heroes who fight for it. MERDEKA!!!!

Stereotyping "Marrying Money"

Hye guys, it's me again, so this is my second post! enjoyed!

‘Marrying Money’ is the young woman, older man getting married. Many people said that if young woman married with older man just for money. They said this because young woman nowadays only thinks about money rather than happiness. Actually it’s true because it’s happen today. In different situation, marrying a rich old man also good for certain people. It can define as helping family is bad way. In Malaysia, the young woman doing this because they don’t want to live in poor situation after getting married. By the way, that is stereotyping which is who judges indiscriminately without knowing the truth or hear from one side only.Living in this situation actually helps me more understand about ‘Marrying Money’. Everyone perception towards it is different. Having this kind of situation helps me a lot to know the real situation ‘Marrying Money’. ‘A young woman willing to sacrifice her pride in order to live in rich lifestyle rather than love’, that my perception for being stereotyping.From my view, ’Marrying Money’ it’s not a big deal. Everyone in this world has their own perception. But in Islam, for older man marrying a young woman means that the old man can support her and teach her in religious things.

Stereotypes are the bad perception that you are categorizing them without you know what they are. You make your own perception without knowing the reasons why they do something.  Other example is ‘people that ride a motorcycle being called ‘Mat Rempit’. You are categorizing them because young man nowadays rides a motorcycle for racing, but how about an old man riding a motorcycle to mosque. So, STOP BEING STEREOTYPING!!!!

Critical Literacy expectation

Assalammualaikum to my readers, I’m Auzaie Luqman. I just started to blog. So, this is my blog and happy reading. Hahaha

Hi guys, I’m semester 4 student Decom, I would like to comment and give my opinion about one of my subject, Critical Literacy or being known as CL. When I’m in semester  3, a few seniors told me that, I will face a one hard subject in semester  4 and when I heard that, I’m scared because taking a hard subject will stress me out. But after I’m taking it, it’s not hard like the senior say. It is a subject where give you a new experience towards the reality of the media. Why media? Because it’s show you how to analyze movies, newspaper, article and the author.
So, my expectation for this subject is that I will score this subject as it is a challenging subject. This subject gives me lots of new way to know believing. Next is, I will learn more about Critical Literacy because it gives me an opportunity to analyze text, movies and others. Last but not least, I will strive for excellent for this subject. This subject will make me more mature in study an article.
I hope that, this subject will give guidance to learning Critical Literacy. So, since I already start to learn this subject, I will more focus on the subject. Lastly, hoping that by learning this subject I can learn many thing and what lies on something. Not to forget that I’m truly glad that I have the opportunity to learn this subject.
